My journey into fitness began at the age of 36 while living as an expatriate in Bangkok, Thailand. At the time, I was raising two young children and trying to find my place in a new country. Like many women, I had put my own wellbeing on the back burner and was still carrying extra weight after having my children.

Everything changed when I joined a local netball team. Surrounded by other expat women, I quickly realised just how much my fitness had declined. Determined to make a change, I joined a local gym and began exploring group exercise classes.

My first spin class was a shock to the system! I remember wondering what I had signed up for and being convinced I would never do it again. The treadmill wasn’t much better—I found it incredibly boring. Then I discovered BodyCombat, and something clicked. I loved the energy, the music, and the sense of empowerment it gave me. For the first time, exercise felt enjoyable rather than a chore.

Soon after, I began training in Muay Thai with a personal trainer. Learning a martial art challenged me physically and mentally. It built my confidence, improved my fitness, reduced my anxiety, and gave me a healthy outlet for stress. Exercise became much more than a way to lose weight—it became a tool for resilience and self-belief.

That resilience was tested when my mother became seriously ill and I returned to the UK to care for her. During this difficult period, I also discovered that my husband had been having an affair. In the months that followed, I faced the breakdown of my marriage and the loss of my mother. Through it all, exercise remained my anchor. Every workout helped clear my mind, manage my emotions, and gave me the strength to keep moving forward.

Returning to England as a single parent, I decided to transform my passion into a career. I qualified as a Group Exercise Instructor and later as a Personal Trainer. Looking back, fitness didn’t just change my body—it changed my life. It helped me navigate some of my toughest challenges and showed me the power of movement to support both physical and mental well-being.

Today, my mission is to help women discover that same strength within themselves. Whether you’re taking your first steps on your fitness journey or working towards new goals, I believe exercise can be life-changing. My aim is to help you build confidence, improve your health, and create sustainable habits that support you for years to come.
